Alina Yohannan – Associate

OVERVIEW AND EXPERIENCE

Alina joined Oram & Moss as an associate attorney in February 2023. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography and French from her native Romania, and a Juris Doctorate Cum Laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she was a member of the Royal Graham Shannonhouse III Honor Society. While in law school, Alina served as the Comments Editor for the Journal of Land and Development and as President of the Real Estate Law Association. Alina is currently pursuing a Certificate in Estate Planning and an LL.M. in Taxation at the University of Baltimore. She is also trained and certified in the Collaborative Practice of Law.

Before joining Oram & Moss, Alina worked as an estate planning and administration attorney at a law firm in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and as a tax controversy attorney in Rockville, Maryland. Alina takes a holistic approach in helping clients with their estate and tax planning needs as she believes that planning is not only about financial and tax strategies but also about families and close relationships. Alina encourages open conversations with family members, beneficiaries, fiduciaries and financial advisors, to ensure a seamless transition and minimum conflict during emotionally-charged situations.

Alina is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar Association.

Alina lives with her family in Olney, Maryland.
