Lissa L. Betancourt – Associate

Lissa is a transplant to the DMV area. She was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, and went to high school in Sussex County, New Jersey. She studied at Bloomsburg University of Pennyslvania, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. After spending a few years working as a Correctional Officer in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, she decided to give “southern living” a try and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina for law school. After attaining her Juris Doctorate in 2016, Lissa decided to continue her education at Norwich University where she attained her Master of Arts in American History.

Before joining Oram & Moss, Lissa worked at a firm in Largo, Maryland, where she gained experience in Estate Planning and Probate. Lissa enjoys helping clients understand the various options of protecting and transferring assets from generation to generation, assisting in designing strategies to execute those plans efficiently, and ensuring their wishes are implemented and executed accurately.

In her free time, Lissa likes to read, work on puzzles, explore the DMV with her wife, and spend quality family time in their home with their four dogs and three cats.
